Base Camp

Base Camp trains your own people to deliver EP's simulation content themselves. Your people. Our methodology.

The experience

Most leadership programmes create dependency: bring in an external provider, deliver to one cohort, start again next time. Base Camp works differently. EP trains your internal facilitators to deliver our simulation content themselves, fully equipped, with full access to our delivery assets. The methodology stays consistent, the quality bar stays high, and the capability lives inside your organisation permanently, not just for the duration of a contract.

How it works: three steps, then it's yours

1. Choose your simulation.

Two flagship simulations are available under Base Camp: For Those Who Dare (Everest) and Into The Unknown. The right choice depends on your leadership themes, your audience, and what people need to feel differently about when they leave the room.

2. Train your facilitators.

A small group of your team, typically two to four people, go through an intensive Train the Trainer with EP, covering facilitation principles, how to hold a room, and how to connect the simulation to your organisation's context.

3. Deliver at scale.

Once certified, your team can run the half-day session as many times as your rollout requires. Same content. Same quality. Entirely internal.

Who it's for

Something specific to activate.

A set of leadership behaviours, a cultural shift, a post-merger integration. Base Camp works when there's a clear thing your organisation needs people to feel differently about.

Reach, at volume.

It works particularly well when external delivery would be logistically complex or commercially prohibitive at the scale and frequency required.

The right conditions in place.

EP is selective about who it certifies. Facilitators need genuine credibility, real comfort in the room, and a commitment to a world-class standard.

Why the selectivity matters

The Train the Trainer process is how EP assesses fit, not just how it trains for it. If the conditions aren't right, EP will say so, and work with you to find a model that is. Base Camp isn't the right answer for every organisation. When it is, it's a significantly better one.

Proof points

Licensed to Heineken: three internal facilitators trained to deliver the Everest simulation at scale, up to 30 half-day sessions across 12 months, through a Train the Trainer model.
